Jonathan is a Man of Kent, and following his education at Kent College in Canterbury, graduated from Exeter University with a degree in History and thereafter from the Ironbridge International Institute for Cultural Heritage with a Master’s degree in Heritage Management. Jonathan completed his Graduate Diploma in Law at Kingston University and his Legal Practice Course with Commendation at the (then) College of Law in York (next to the Terrys Suchard chocolate factory), qualifying as a solicitor in 2008. Jonathan was previously a director of a firm on the East Kent coast before moving to Gabbs in 2024.
Jonathan is learning to play the renaissance lute and when time allows indulges his need for exercise at outdoor fitness bootcamps and has recently returned to rowing after a long overdue absence.
