Person Specification:

Although legal experience would be helpful, no previous experience is necessary. We are looking for someone who has sympathy with the workings of a faith-based organisation.  What is particularly important is the ability to learn quickly and to work accurately.

You will need:

  • strong IT and clerical skills;
  • the ability to adapt to new systems quickly;
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • ability to build and maintain relationships;
  • ability to work under pressure, showing commitment to your colleagues, to the Diocese and the firm in general;
  • proactive approach and willingness to learn
  • organisational skills with the ability to manage own time and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines on time;
  • accurate and efficient audio and copy typing skills (especially Microsoft Office)
  • ability to adapt suitable precedents

Litigation Solicitor

We are an established, friendly firm with branches in Hereford, Leominster and Hay on Wye.  We have a loyal local client base and are looking for a solicitor to work in our civil litigation department, to include  contentious probate, trust and property litigation work. You will need to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team but with minimal supervision.  We are looking for someone who is interested in career progression.  Salary will be dependent on experience.
