Gabbs have been extremely proud to sponsor Wormelow Cricket Club and congratulate them on a successful season:
1st Team
The 1st team play in the GB Liners Marches League Division 1 and once again delivered success. They won the league with one game to play and held top position all season. Their 1st team captain, Tom Cutler, led from the front and finished as leading wicket taker for the division.
2nd Team
The ‘twos’ play in the GB Liners Marches League Division 2 and notably played against a number of 1st teams. The standard of cricket remained high, and they finished a respectable 2nd in the league, losing a crucial game against the winners by only 3 wickets, with the return fixture falling victim to the weather. Dan Hale captained the team remarkably well, adding junior players aged 14, 15 and 16 to the team on a regular, if not permanent, basis.
Juniors:
• Wormelow had 10 junior players represent Herefordshire Cricket (7 boys, 3 girls) this season, 3 of these players are also involved in the Elite Player Performance programme
• 13 Junior players aged under 18 have represented Wormelow in senior cricket this season
