Lisa qualified as a solicitor in 1999 and gained her Legal Practice Diploma from BPP Law School in London. She has a degree in Modern History & Politics from the University of Sheffield and an LLB (Hons) from the University of Westminster.

Lisa has almost 20 years’ experience as a Solicitor specialising in Wills & Inheritance Tax Planning, Probate & Trusts and Elderly Client work. She was a Partner in a regional firm in the South East before joining Gabbs to head up our Hereford Private Client team.

Lisa has drafted hundreds of Wills for clients and dealt with the administration of many complex estates. Lisa has extensive experience dealing with claims for inheritance tax reliefs, especially agricultural property relief and business property relief.

Lisa first worked for Gabbs in Spring 2015 at our Hereford office. She comments: ''I was impressed by the firm from the outset. It is approachable and friendly, and providing a good service to clients is at the forefront of everything it does. In my area of work, many clients still want a face to face meeting and Gabbs is able to offer that as part of its service.''

Before joining the legal profession Lisa worked as a researcher for BBC News and Current Affairs in London, having studied Modern History and Politics at university. She met her husband, Stephen, while at the BBC.

Away from work Lisa can usually be found reading or pursuing her interest in vintage fashion and dressmaking.  Now that she has relocated to Herefordshire she spends a lot of her free time exploring the local area, particularly the Malvern Hills, which overlook her garden.
