Lord Bingham visits Hereford

On 15 April, the Herefordshire, Breconshire and Radnorshire Law Society was delighted to welcome our most eminent judge, Lord Bingham of Cornhill, to Hereford. The evening was promoted jointly by the local Law Society and by the Hereford Cathedral Perpetual Trust.

Lord Bingham spoke about The Rule of Law before fielding questions on a wide range of issues from the packed audience.

Also in attendance were a number of illustrious guests, including the Lord Lieutenant and the Earl of Darnley, the High Sheriff and Mr Hunter, distinguished members of the judiciary and the bar, the Dean and Mr Jesse Norman, who kindly introduced Lord Bingham.

The evening was chaired by Gabbs partner, Jeremy Wilding, who is also the new President of the Herefordshire, Breconshire and Radnorshire Law Society. He is pictured here with Lord Bingham.
